If you are new to RPing, read this guide.
What is RPing?
RPing is like one big book written by a dozen different people. RP stands for Role play. Everyone has their own style of Role playing. On this site, Role playing is told in third-person view. Third-person view is where you are saying what the person did as if you were watching the scene. Ex: "Bob jumped to his brother, the sun glinting off of his pale skin" - NOT - "I jumped to my brother, the sun glinting off my pale skin."
How can I make good posts?
Make sure you add thoughts and depth to your posts. Adding colors and descriptions is a great way to lengthen it as well.
Ex. Instead of "Caroline jumped into the water," you could say, "Caroline leapt gracefully into the clear, ice-blue water."
Instead of "She was burning with jealousy inside while she thought about the reasons he liked her more," you could say, "She was burning with jealousy inside while she thought about the reasons he liked her more. He likes girls with a sense of humor. I could try to be more funny. I'm going to get him back, no matter what, she thought viciously."
How can I make my posts look nice and neat?
What I think makes your posts look best is centering them.
It makes it look much nicer and more even.
It really helps to italicize thoughts.
Some people bold their dialogue.
Be careful when you start your sentances. You want to mix things up. For example, if you're doing personality on a bio, you may write, "She is nice. She is very funny. She is a social butterfly. She loves to run." Instead, you could write, "She is a very nice girl. Being funny is one of her best qualities. This energetic girl is a social butterfly. Running is her favorite past-time." See? You still have all four sentances, they just sound better and are more lengthy.
How do I make my posts more descriptive?
Describe your scenery. If you just say,
"Caroline jumped," you don't get much out of that sentance. It's barely even a sentance. You could say "The long haired girl leapt nimbly over the log, her skin set a vibrant, glowing orange in the afternoon light." You get MUCH more out of that one. You can see when the jumping take place, what she jumped over, and a small amount of what she looks like.
Adding specific colors is also helpful. If you say "Her eyes were blue," that's ok, but it's hard to picture with the hundreds of different shades of blue there are. Instead, you could say "Her eyes were that of a deep, sea-blue."
