Alicia sat on her bed as she stared up to the ceiling. She was afraid and worried. And thrilled. And happy. And nervous. And anxious.
How could one girl have so many emotions? She sighed as she thought this - partially to get rid of the anxious lump in her throat. Tears started to spill over, but she wiped them away furiously. "Stop it, Lee," she muttered to herself.
She looked down at her swollen stomach. It made her cloak bulge like a balloon. And she remembered....
They were due next month.
She ran her delicate fingers gently over her stomach and she felt a small nudge on her ring finger. She gave a watery smile as she realized soon that little nudge would be a real baby. A real baby that she could hold in her arms and it would have her beatufiul blnode hair. It would be hers.

Katie slipped in with her usual eerie grace, not making a sound until she sat down on her bed. It was a grand, four-poster thing, complete with mahogany bedstands and blue velvet drapes. A gold, clawing raven was emblazoned on the top, and she rested her bag on the foot of it, leaning back. She glanced around, eyes narrowing. "Hey, Alicia," she greeted, as their script went. They had never gotten very far on the conversation front, and were merely polite; "Good mornings", and "How are yous" were the majority of their exchange. She leaned forward and rifled through it, slender hands pale against the navy blue fabric of her bag. She eventually pulled out a worn copy of Advanced Potion-making. It's green cover announced in bold white letters that it was written by Libatius Borage. She opened it, and began reading.

Alicia glared at Katie. Why did she just decide to barg in on Alicia's moment with her baby. "Hey," she growled back.
Her fingers traced her stomach again as she sat up. She picked up her wand and decided to practice. "Expecto Patronum," she said softly. It was quiet - barely audible, yet the tiger burst out from her wand tip, glowing brightly over the room. She knew why, of course. The happy thing she'd thought of was her child. Her baby.

Katie turned, blue eyes aloof. "Why so fierce?" she asked, not taunting, more curious. She watched the silvery phantom tiger with mild interest, and then picked up her own wand. "Expecto patronum," she whispered, and there was a faint spark at the tip of her wand, but nothing more. There was nothing happy or joyful in her life. Her face hardened, and she snatched up her book again, taking out her anger and regret on the poor book. There was a ripping noise, and then the book split in two, its cheap paper pages fluttering away like feathers. She gave a growl of annoyance, eyes narrowing, and bent down to snatch up the pages angrily, fingers ripping holes on them.

"No reason," she mumbled, all anger gone.
She sat up against the headboard of the bed, her arms folded over her swollen stomach protectively. As if she didn't want to put her baby in the path of this violent girl. She picked up her own book. "Hogwarts - A History" was the name of the book. She knew this book was extremely old, but she still found it interesting.
She flipped through the pages absently, not really paying attention to it, but staring off into space with a vague look in her eyes.

Lucas silently climbed the stairs to the Girls' Dormitories, glancing carefully over his shoulder. If anyone knew he was up here he'd be in a lot of trouble. But that didn't stop him; he smiled as he climbed the stairs, already knowing the exact room he wanted to be in.
He paused outside Alicia's door, knocking once before poking his head in. His vision being disrupted by his messy black hair, he didn't see Katie until after he had blown his hair out of his green eyes. "Crap." he muttered, glancing between the two girls.

"Hey," she trilled when she saw Lucas come in. "Come on," she chimed when he paused by the door. "Katie won't tell on you," she laughed, rolling her eyes.
She felt a soft kick in her stomach and her hand fluttered to it again cautiously. She knew there was more than one. She just didn't know how many more.

Katie, busy angrily gathering up the pages of her book, didn't notice the black-haired man until he swore under his breath. Then she glanced up, and her expression didn't even change. Her poker face was so practiced at that point that her blue eyes didn't even widen, and besides, after her harsh life, having some weird man walk into your dormitory didn't even count as odd. She nodded, clenching her fist around a pile of the pages she had collected. Her fingers turned white, and she tossed the pile away, now in a scrumpled ball. Her gaze flicked from the man's face to the bulge in Alicia's stomach, and she didn't even blink.

Lucas's blue eyes flicked between the girls once more before he grinned and walked over to Alicia's bed. "You sure? I swear Ravenclaw chicks bite." he joked, carefully sitting himself on the edge of her bed. His green eyes flicked to her stomach as she put her hand to it and his smiled widened. Though, he couldn't help the trill of worry that settled in his mind - they were both still students, still at school...How was he going to provide for an entire family? His worries didn't show through, though; only his undeniable happiness and pride. He was going to be a father!

Katherine's eyes flashed; she was normally more friendly, but she had the idea that Lucas had knocked Alicia up, and even though she didn't know her roommate very well, she felt a certain loyalty to her. "Oh, I bite," she agreed solemnly, blinking placidly. She crumpled another pale of pages into a ball and threw it against the room, where it joined the other. Her fingers dug rips in the cheap paper, and she found herself wondering how she was going to study without Advanced Potion-making. It was mandatory for the exams!

She got up and edged over so she could sit next to him. Why did he decide to sit at the edge of the bed? She wanted to sit next to Luke. "What'cha doin' in here, anyway?" she asked, kissing him quickly on the cheek. OOC-It's not just a little nudge right now, she's HUGE by now. She's having TRIPLETS and they're due next month. xD I'm surprised she can move to the end of her bed.

OOC: XD I'm surprised none of the teachers have noticed!
IC: Lucas wrapped his strong arms carefully around Alicia, holding her gently to him. "Came for a visit; aren't I allowed to anymore?" he chuckled, pressing his lips to her forehead softly. His green eyes flicked to Katie, catching the angry light in them. His own eyes narrowed. What was with her?

OOC-They prolly have
"No, just curious," she laughed lightly, her dainty fingers eagerly twining with his big fingers. She, too, looked to Katie, wondering vaguely what she thought of their relationship. Two seventh years, one who was held back a year and one who was pregnant with his child....or children.

Katherine moved away, well aware of their glances and even more aware of their closeness. It sent a ripple of agony through her chest as she tried to remember the last time someone had loved her. Her mother. Who had died when she was eight. And she hadn't even cried. She blinked, blue eyes bright, pretending to stack up the fallen out pages of her book. The page-less book itself lay, limp, on the floor, a jagged rip running down its spine. Dry binding blue were evident on the ridge of the spine, and the worn gold lettering positively leered at her as she closed her eyes, thinking.

Lucas' thumb ran gentle circles on the back of Alicia's hand as he watched the other Ravenclaw girl. His green eyes quickly flicked over the title of the mangled book, "If you need a new one, you can burrow mine." he offered. Seeing as though this girl had probably already worked out what was going on and what had happened, he should be nice.
