~Alicia Marie Far // Hogwarts Hospital Wing~ The screams of a girl giving birth could be heard all through the castle. Alicia was in the Hospital Wing, her children finally coming. She screamed, just wishing it would stop and that she could've had her children without all this. She moaned and gasped as a child was born. It was a....she couldn't tell. She was in too much pain to care about that. She barely registered Luke's presence in the room. She had another, screaming all the while. This one was a boy. The next was another girl. She was so relieved. So glad. That it was over. She moaned softly and rolled over on the matress. Her head was resting on the soft pillow and she gratefully sunk into it. She drifted happily into the blissful world that was sleep. The little girl already had a little blonde hair on her head. Her mothers. She had her father's bright green eyes and tears were flowing out of them. She didn't have a reason - she didn't need one. She then became aware of a rocking movement around her - someone was carrying her. She next felt herself being lowered onto a soft material. Her mouth opened in an adorable, perfect "o" as she yawned. She layed down next to her sister and fell asleep quickly. Jake was walking back with the girl's brother in his arms. He had the family's blonde hair and had bright green eyes as well. Triplets, he thought as he pushed the child's already-shaggy black hair out of his eyes. He set the boy down next to his sisters.

Lucas sat by Alicia's side, a hand gripping her own, the other clenching and unclenching on his leg, nails scratching at the skin through the material of his jeans. His bright green eyes were glued to her face, his heart tearing at her pain-filled screams - he could do nothing...absolutely nothing to ease her pain...That thought tore at him more; she was going through hell and he could do nothing to help. He struggled to swallow - his own throat dry in his anxiety - and forced himself to keep his breathing even.
His stunned green eyes didn't leave her face until it was all over and she was sleeping peacefully. He slowly looked up, in time to see Jake place the last of the triplets in the crib. He hadn't seen his children yet - too preoccupied with the pain their mother was going through. Now, he was aching to see their faces, to prove that this wasn't just some real-looking, strange dream.
He got up just as slowly as he had looked over, his muscles shaky from their long period of tenseness. He gently let go of Alicia's hand, leaving her to rest peacefully as he walked over to the crib.
Looking down at the three babies - his children - the stunned expression melted away to be replaced by a one of happiness and pride. Three beautiful children - their children.

Little green eyes looked up at her father. They were slits - barely open, but you could tell they were green. She stared with a fierce intensity, but with a hint of laughter and kindness. She smiled at him and turned to face him, she could apparently tell he was her father.
She didn't cry the whole day, she just stared at her father, and once when her mother finally came over. She never looked at her siblings, but knew they were there.

Alicia blinked her eyes open, but even the little light from the candle was bright and she closed her eyes again. "Lucas?" she asked, her hand fumbling on the mattress beside her, looking for his hand. "Where are my children?" she mumbled.
She wanted to see one of them. One of the beautiful babies she'd help bring into this world.

Lucas smiled down at his children, his bright green eyes flicking between each of their little faces. His smile widened as one of his daughters smiled at him, his eyes flicking to the slit of green that showed. He reached a hand into the crib, gently stroking the baby girl's cheek. "Hello." he whispered to her.
His head snapped up at the quiet sound of Alicia's voice. He smiled once more at the triplets, before walking back over to Alicia's bed. With the hand he had just stuck in his pocket, her ran his thumb along a small velvety box. Taking his hand out of his pocket, he took her hand, still smiling. "I'm here, the kids are in the crib - they're all asleep...Well, one of the girls is still awake." he answered softly, gently squeezing her hand.
He suddenly realized that she may want to see one of the babies. "I'll be right back." he murmured, kissing her cheek. He slowly let go of her small hand before walking over to the crib. Cautiously, he picked one of the children up, making sure to be as gentle as possible, and cradled them in his arms. He walked back to Alicia's bef, taking her soft hand again and kneeling beside the bed so she could see the baby still cradled in his free arm. He moved his burly body to block the candle light, his green eyes fixed on Alicia's face.

By the time Lucas, had returned, she was sitting up against the thick pillow behind her. Her eyes lit up at the sight of her son. He had the same blonde hair as the rest of them, and bright green eyes. "Hi," she cooed, taking him in her arms.
She cradled him gently, realizing how fragile he looked as a baby - her baby. "What should his name be?" she asked Lucas, tearing her eyes away from her son to look at Lucas's face. She realized at that moment, she had everything. A great school, a great boyfriend, and a great family. "Maybe....Lance?" she suggested. "No, that doesn't sound right....Link?"

The newly-deemed Link didn't hesitate before opening his mouth to bawl. It was an earsplitting howl, which involved quite a complex procedure of screwing up his eyes, clenching his tiny fat fists, flailing his legs, and tilting his head back. A few whisps of dark hair clung to his scalp, but otherwise he was completely and probably embarrassingly bald.

Alicia's eyes snapped back down to Link. She rocked him gently back and forth, trying to soothe the bawling child. She murmured a soft lullaby to Link.

"Link sounds fine." Lucas responded, finishing as the baby boy began to bawl. The sound of the child's cries hurt the 19-year-old's ears and stabbed at his heart. His bright green eyes left Alicia's face anxiously, focusing on the little boy she held in her as he wailed.

Link was fine, actually. It was simply natural for babies, once they were born, to scream. It ensured that their lungs were working, and it made them take their first breath; if they didn't, then there was a good chance they had respiratory issues. Link continued wailing for a good ten minutes before ceasing quietly, and then ending with a hiccup. He blinked drowsily, clenching his tiny hands into fists.

Lucas smiled at the boy as he stopped crying, feeling relieved as the harsh, heart-breaking sounds died away. He glanced anxiously towards the crib and their two daughters, worried that Link's crying had awoke either of the two sleeping girls.
He brushed his big fingers along his son's stomach, tickling him lightly as he thought. His bright green eyes snapped suddenly to Jake as something occured to him, "Is anything wrong with them?" he asked quietly, anxious for their childrens' health.

"Nope. All is just fine," said Jake from his office, the door open. He had been scrawling reports for Dumbledore on his mahogany desk.
One of the girls, was, indeed awoken by Link's crying. Her bright green eyes blinked open and tears started seeping out of them as her mouth opened in a wail.

Link's eyes screwed up in bad-tempered annoyance, his mouth jutting into a petulant scowl. He didn't like the sound of his sister's crying - only he was allowed to! He flailed for a few minutes, fat fists clenching and unclenching indignantly, before subsiding sullenly. He glared around for a while, a few whisps of dark hair clinging to his scalp, before making an odd mewling noise and curling up by his mother, lip jutting out angrily even in slumber.

Lucas sighed with relief as Jake answered him, his green eyes disappearing behind his lids for a moment.
The relaxed moment didn't last long as one of their daughters began to wail. The heart-piecing sound caused his eyes to snap open. He scowled playfully at his tantruming son for a moment before getting up and walking to the crib.
He carefully lifted the little girl out of the crib, smiling down at her as he rocked her slowly, comfortingly, "Shhh, it's OK." Still smiling and rocking, he walked back over to Alicia's side.

The blonde child clutched at her father's sleeve while he carried her to Alicia. Tears were still falling thick and fast out of her green eyes, but the wailing had ceased. She curled up against Lucas's chest gratefully.
