Katherine started, turning to stare at Lucas in surprise. She hadn't expected him to speak to her! She blinked, long lashes feathering the cyan in her cat-like eyes. "No, thank you," she declined stiffly. She hated gifts - even if they were only favors - because to her, they were trades. If someone gave her something, she owed something to them. In other words, if she accepted charity, she was in debt. Her stupid pride had decided that a while ago, and although she was sorely tempted to say yes - she had to pass these tests - she turned it down with a frown. "Thank you, though," she added with the faintest touch of a smile.

She rolled her eyes and relaxed in the strong grip of Lucas. He was so kind. Even with Katie's strong ignorance of the couple, he still offered to help the fellow Ravenclaw.
"I'm so excited," she said abruptly. Obviously, with her fond look to the giant bulge in her stomach, it was easy to see what she was talking about.

Lucas' s broad shoulders lifted and fell as he shrugged, "Have it your way, then. If you change your mind, just come tell me." he said.
His green eyes followed Alicia's gaze, his smile widening again. "Not long now." he murmured in agreement. The trill of worry started again; what would the teachers do? They couldn't kick them out!...Could they?...And what would their parents say? His mum...would probably give him a really long lecture on how to be a good father. His arms tightened around Alicia a bit, he wouldn't leave her, he couldn't.

A small red-head knocked hesitantly at the door. "Come in," called a happy voice, so she opened it a crack.
"Umm, P-Professor Dumble-d-dore would like to see you, Alicia. A-And you too, Lucas," she stuttered. She didn't like being in a room of big seventh years when she was only a tiny first year.
Alicia looked up to Lucas with worried eyes. She got to her feet unsteadily and gripped the bar of the bed, taking silent and quick deep breaths. "Th-Thanks," she muttered to Kelsey, pushing past her out the door.
Kelsey shot one terrified look to Katie and flashed out the door after her.

Lucas felt his stomach and throat constrict at the first years message. He got to his feet slowly after Alicia, gently resting his hand against her back to steady her. Why couldn't Dumbledore come up here?! Alicia needed to rest!
He followed after his pregnant girlfriend, watching her carefully. His green eyes flicked to the nervous first year and he smiled encouragingly.

Alicia flowed through the doorway, flopping down on the bed again. She felt so much better with the bed supporting her weight rather than her feet. She held her hand to her forehead, cupping it as her legs folded into pretzal position.
She reached into her trunk at the side of her bed and pulled out her sketch book. She started drawing something random, drawing the detailed eyes of a doe.

Lucas sat beside her, his bright green eyes filled with worry and confusion. What had upset her back in the hallway so much? He watched her draw quietly for a few minutes, mulling over his questions. "What did you want to talk about?" he asked her, his voice quiet and strained. He was fearing the worst at the moment, would Alicia still want him around?

"We need to decide....what to do once we get out of Hogwarts," she breathed, looking up to him. "We'll have a family to support, so we need to decide what to do. I've been thinking about it over the past few days and....what do you think of starting a shop in Hogsmeade?" she asked, her eyebrows arching while she awaited his answer. "We could make a restaurant or something....you know I like to cook. And our....children could stay with us there," she said. She knew her suggestion was silly, but she knew they needed something to do when they got out of school.

Lucas sighed quietly, relieved. "Yeah, that sounds good." he murmured, smiling softly. He wrapped his arms around her again, mulling over exactly what he could do once they were out of school. The restaurant was a really good idea, but he wouldn't be much help - he burnt ice, as his mother had always put it. So...What could he do?

"You don't need to be a chef," she chuckled. "You can be a waitor," she suggested. "Just don't get too flirty with our female customers," she laughed, twisting around to kiss him lightly, her lips molding to his as her hand caressed his cheek.
Well, they had their plan taken care of now.

Lucas smiled against her lips, kissing her back. After a moment, he pulled back. "I promise I won't do any flirting, as long as you don't hide little love letters in people's meals." he answered, holding her closer. Now that everything had been handled, he felt relaxed and happy - well, nearly everything; the kids still needed to be born.

Her hand drifted away from his strong arms and fluttered down to her stomach. She felt another kick and swallowed nervously. "Not long," she murmured to him, slightly upset when he'd pulled back. The feel of his lips was irresistable; like laying in the snow after being in the scorching sunlight.

Lucas gently put his big hand over her smaller one, his bright green eyes soft, "Not long." he agreed quietly. His arms were still wrapped around her, and he rested his cheek against her hair. He hadn't been able to feel a kick yet - as much as he wanted to. He wondered quietly if he was already scaring his children.

She twisted around to kiss him full on the lips again, a fierceness in hers that hadn't been there a moment ago. They wouldn't be a care-free couple after a while. Soon they would have more responsibilities. They couldn't goof off with each other once her children were born.
A dainty persian cat bounded onto her bed with a loud and simply adorable mew. "Hey Jasmine," she mumbled, still keeping her lips locked with Luke's. The cat came up and pawed at her side. She sighed and pulled away. "Persistant much?" she laughed, dragging the cat onto her lap. There wasn't much room there with the children coming, so she leaned back against Lucas and put Jasmine on her legs.

Lucas groaned softly as Alicia pressed her lips to his, resisting the sharp urge to pull her even closer. He had to remember there were babies in that swollen stomach of hers.
He glared at the cat as Alicia pulled away. "Stupid fur-ball." he grumbled jokingly, gently tugging the cat's ear.
